Congrats, you located a bonus poem! Please enjoy.
Rei Hawk
Wake up in the mornin’ from a real deep sleep
I feel relaxed and rested for the first heart beat
Take a look at the clock and have the typical shock
There’s always something wrong, I should be halfway down the block!
There’s no time for a shower ‘cause it’s way past time to go
So I do a sniff test and find out there’s no BO
That’s such a lucky break, I thought, heading toward the closet
Should have known something was wrong; laundry – forgot to wash it
Now, I’ve done all I can, so to work it’s time to flee
And to my luck there’s stand givin’ tea and coffee out for free
But of course the lid falls off and coffee gets all over me
No matter what, there’s always something, how else would my luck be?
I get to work to face my fate, but I find out something great
The boss is also late, the morning meeting had to wait
But of course there’s always something, life is such a sad fable
Because yesterday’s report, I left it on the kitchen table
Finally get out of work and I open my umbrella
For once I brought it with me ‘cause the forecast said bad weather
My umbrella blew away and of course I got soaked
What else can I say? My life is just a sick joke
The day’s been pretty bad, and by the end I’m pretty beat
But there’s a cutie at the bar in the very next seat
I ask her for her number – right now it’s all or nothing
“Sure, I’ll grab a pen!” Hey, I guess there’s always somethin’
